AGT Precision Machining runs 4-axis CNC turning with live tooling in our St. Catharines, Ontario shop. We turn shafts, bushings, pins, spacers, fittings and custom cylindrical parts from your drawings — one prototype or a full production run.
Live tooling lets us mill flats, cross-holes, slots and keyways in the same setup as the turning operation. Fewer setups means tighter concentricity, less handling and shorter lead times.
Turned and milled in one setup
Our HAAS SY series lathe combines turning with live tooling and a Y-axis, so off-centre holes, flats and milled features are cut without moving the part to a second machine. For parts that still need complex milled features, we finish them on our 5-axis machining centres in-house.
Threads, finishes and inspection
We single-point and tap metric, UNC, UNF and custom thread forms, and every thread is gauged before the part ships. Critical dimensions are verified on our 5-axis CMM, with full dimensional reports available on request.
From prototype to production
Send us a STEP, IGES, DWG or PDF drawing and we'll quote within one business day. We machine one-off prototypes for fit testing as well as repeat production runs, with the same quality checks at any quantity.

01What size parts can you turn?
We turn parts from Ø2 mm up to Ø300 mm in diameter and up to 1500 mm long, held to tolerances of ±0.01 mm.
02Can you add milled features to turned parts?
Yes. Our lathe has live tooling and a Y-axis, so flats, cross-holes, slots and keyways are machined in the same setup. More complex features are finished on our 5-axis machining centres.
03Do you turn one-off prototypes?
Yes. We machine single prototypes as well as production runs. Send your drawing and we'll quote within one business day.
